The Canadian Mental Health Association, Niagara Branch, is currently seeking volunteer members for its Board of Directors.
As the oldest and largest adult mental health agency in Niagara, we are looking for a resident of Niagara who is committed to continuing our work in system integration and continuous quality improvement. The successful candidate will be required to serve until June 2019 with the option of additional years to a maximum of 8 years, with a time commitment of approximately 10-12 hours per month. This includes board meetings on the fourth Thursday evening of each month, committee work and preparation.
We are especially interested at this time in volunteers with experience in Finance and Business Administration, but are also interested in candidates with experience in Fundraising/Marketing, Board Governance, and those with a passion for supporting mental health awareness in Niagara.
CMHA Niagara strives to be a culturally competent organization, representative of Francophone, multi-cultural, LGBTQ and other backgrounds that reflect the diverse makeup of Niagara. Participation of people with lived experience is integral to our work as Board members.
