CMHA Niagara volunteers play a crucial role in our organization and our community. Without the dedication of volunteers, many programs offered by our branch would not be possible.

That’s why from April 7 – 13, CMHA Niagara joins organizations across the country in celebrating Canada’s 12.7 million volunteers during National Volunteer Week.

Volunteering can take many forms. At CMHAs across the country, volunteers are found working on special projects or programs, within fundraising activities or serving on local boards. All of these activities help improve quality of life for individuals and families who are affected by mental health issues.

In Niagara, volunteers of the Speakers Bureau share their personal experiences with mental illness to provide education and raise awareness in the Niagara community. Volunteer opportunities are also available through board membership and engagement with agency events and fundraising like Women and Wellness and bingo sessions.

From all of us at CMHA Niagara, thank you to the amazing volunteers we work with every day. We truly appreciate your dedication in helping us work towards
