Real Work is a specialized employment program offered through the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA). This program helps individuals overcome barriers to employment (such as mental health issues or other disabilities) in order to find and maintain meaningful jobs.
It is our mission to promote employment, education or volunteer opportunities for people who experience mental health issues and other disabilities and to provide them with the support to live independent and integrated lives.
Real Work is a specialized employment program for persons who:
- self-identify with mental health issues and are 16 years of age or older,
- are unemployed/underemployed/not in school and are wanting to increase their employability or upgrade their education/training, and
- are wanting to enhance their independence and manage their mental health in order to discover goals and opportunities related to employment, volunteer, and/or education.
