Now more than ever, our mental health and the mental health of those around us, is of utmost importance. With a sharp increase in anxiety and depression, one member of our community feels it is time to take action – to bring awareness, support and fundraise to help anyone who needs it.

Brandon McGuire is a husband, father, entrepreneur and avid cyclist here in Niagara. He has a passion for mental health and cycling. With that in mind, Brandon is challenging all of us to spread the word and share in supporting the mission to strengthen mental wellness in our community. He recognizes that “someone in your circle” needs our help and has created the Mountain Biking 4 Mental Health – MTB4MH project as a great way get involved.

Brandon will be participating in a ride – 4 days, 4 trails, 100 kms of riding for ONE purpose – mental health support!

Brandon and some fellow riders will ride four different trails, four days in a row for a total distance of 100 kms. He will post his rides on Strava, Facebook and Instagram if you want to follow along. Using #MTB4MH, Brandon encourages you to ride too! Whether you can ride as far and as long or simply take the family out for a day of fresh air and activity, use the hashtag and ask your friends and family to support your ride by donating to the cause. You can share a link to the donation form in your emails and social posts along with #MTB4MH.

As Brandon says, “plan your rides, recruit your family and friends and go ride!” Help CMHA Niagara help the person in your circle who needs their help. Donate today.
