In these days of social distancing, or as we like to more appropriately say – physical distancing, we are learning that we don’t have to be close but we must feel close. We need to feel we are together, even when we are apart. It is precisely the time, during and in recovery from the pandemic, to lean on each other. Even if we can’t be close physically with one another, we need to stay close emotionally.

Bridgewater Yoga Studio is offering free community online yoga classes daily at 9am. Learn more here: www.bridgewateryoga.ca. They are also holding a Mother’s Day class on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at 1 p.m. On Monday’s at 7 p.m., their Y12SR Yoga of 12 Step Recovery class, free to the community “connects the dots” between the ancient wisdom of yoga, the practical tools of 12-step programs, and the latest research on trauma healing and neurobiology. The program serves people recovering from all manifestations of addiction, from behavioral addictions to substance use disorder – creating a safe place on the mat where trauma can be released.
