In an effort to raise awareness and donations for Canadian Mental Health Association’s in Ontario, avid hikers are taking to the Bruce Trail to hike over 900 kms over the next year.

Jonathan found peace and perspective on the trail. It was years ago when he began hiking for hours at a time. In 2016, his passion for hiking and nature drew him to the Bruce Trail. He dubs himself as an ultra-hiker wanting to experience as much of a trail for as long as possible! Through these adventures that led him to connect with people and nature, Jonathan started to heal from past hurts. He learned how difficult it can be to feel mental pain but continue to get up even when its the hardest thing to do. Because of this, Jonathan was compelled to hike for mental health. Since 2016, Jonathan used Facebook to connect with hikers across Ontario and other parts of the world with the common thread of the Bruce Trail Hiking group. Each day hikers make connections, meet new friends, learn more about the trail and create memories along the Bruce Trail. Follow this 900 km journey on Facebook.
