Bosch Rexroth Canada has partnered with CMHA Niagara for GivingTuesday.

We Move. You Win. When that’s the slogan for the company that wants to support your cause, how can you lose!

Bosch Rexroth Canada has partnered with CMHA Niagara for #GivingTuesday to raise funds to support immediate access to connections by increasing the availability of mental health programs in Niagara. Check out their video here.

In any given year, 1 in 5 people in Niagara will personally experience a mental health concern or illness. The other 4 will love, work with or support someone with a mental health concern.

Bosch Rexroth Canada’s Welland, Ontario location has issued a challenge to their local business community to match their $1,000 donation to CMHA Niagara. The company is creating a challenge video and encouraging their employees and local businesses to participate in giving.

Bosch Rexroth approached CMHA Niagara, hoping to show their support of the important mental health and addiction services provided by CMHA because of their strong duty to society, the environment and their social commitment to the communities they work in. Mental health awareness has come to the forefront as a new movement within Bosch Rexroth Canada in 2019.

“In order to expand, enhance and sustain our services to meet the needs of Niagara residents, we need the financial support of those who believe in our work and we are so grateful for Bosch Rexroth,” said CMHA Niagara executive director Tara McKendrick. “Their creativity to include local businesses, employees and the community in supporting immediate access mental health services this GivingTuesday, will help us continue to provide the best possible care to our community in a timely and accessible way.”

“Bosch Rexroth Canada takes Mental Health seriously.  By encouraging our employees to take care of their minds, we’re investing into the longevity and overall health of our employees and our company,” said Elijah Babcock, Warehouse Lead Hand & Bosch Rexroth Canada Mental Health Advocate.

Funds raised this #GivingTuesday will support immediate access services like: Urgent Support where mental health counsellors provide same day, no fee service; 24/7 crisis outreach and intervention (COAST); SafeBeds, a voluntary, non-medical alternative to hospitalization, and; Mobile Crisis Rapid Response (MCRRT) that works with law enforcement responding to emergency calls related to mental health.

The corporate giving challenge is in effect from GivingTuesday on December 3 and open through Tuesday, December 10. You can donate by contacting CMHA Niagara at (905) 641-5222, Ext. 2644 or online here.
