Ride Don’t Hide event details

With Ride Don’t Hide just around the corner, you’re probably wondering where you need to go and when you need to be there. We have the answers for you!

Registration: Open from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m.
Welcome & opening remarks: 9:05 a.m.
Warm-up session: 9:30 – 9:40 a.m.
Face painting: 8:00 – 10:00 a.m.
Lunch: Begins at 11:00 a.m.
Don’t forget to wear a helmet!

Wave departure times:
35km – 9:30 a.m.
15 km – 9:45 a.m.
5km – 10:00 a.m.

We will be hosting this event at Brock University in Zone 2, parking lot V. This is the lot closest to Merritville Highway. There will be signage on campus directing participants to the event site. When in doubt, look for the tents! Parking is FREE.

After you park, head over to our registration table to check in. Here you will receive your rider kit (jersey and swag included). We recommend wearing a tank top to the event so that you can wear your jersey over top. They’re high quality sports shirts provided by one of our national sponsors, Scimitar!

Tie a ribbon to our wellness tree as a symbol of hope, love, and support for the individuals we ride for. We also encourage you to share why you’re participating on our Ride Don’t Hide wall near the registration station.

The event will officially kick off around 9:05 a.m. with some opening remarks from our emcee, Blake Belcher. We’ll also hear a few words from St. Catharines Member of Parliament, Chris Bittle, who will also be leading our 15km wave!

At 9:30 a.m. our first wave (35km) will depart. If you’re part of this wave, please make sure you use the restroom before departing Brock’s campus. Our 35km route will be led by Kyle Jones, professional triathlete and Canadian Olympian! We are also pleased to announce that ecoRIDES will be guide and sweep our longest route.

A quick warm up session will be hosted at 9:30 a.m. by Daw Martial Arts and Fitness for 15km and 5km riders to attend. Register for this warm up and be entered to win a FREE 4-month membership to their dojo. REGISTER HERE: https://doodle.com/poll/ugxhb32a986xnanq

Lunch starts at 11:00 a.m. A meal ticket will be provided to you when you check in at the registration table. When you return from your wave, you may choose a free meal from The Smokin’ Buddha or Pig Out Roasters BBQ.

Various activities will follow the ride, including:

  • Post-ride massages (10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.)
  • Post-ride cool down stretch (multiple sessions, check times on event day)
  • Bouncy castle (8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.)
  • And more!
  • Prize winners will be announced at 1:00 p.m.
